Hot Take Huddle is operated by Marvel Apps ("we," "us"). This policy explains what information we collect when you use Hot Take Huddle, why we collect it, and how you can delete it.
Information you provide, or that we collect on your behalf
Account information. When you sign in, we receive whatever your sign-in method shares with us: your name and email address from Google or Apple, or your phone number if you sign in by text message. We use this only to identify your account.
Fantasy league data. When you connect a league, we access your league's rosters, scores, standings, and transaction history so we can generate your episodes. What that requires depends on the provider:
- ESPN — a one-time browser sign-in that gives us two session values (not your password). We store these encrypted and use them only to read your league's data from ESPN's own service.
- Sleeper — just your public Sleeper username; Sleeper's league data is public and needs no login at all.
- Yahoo (coming soon) — Yahoo's own official sign-in flow. We never see your Yahoo password, only the access tokens Yahoo issues us, which we store encrypted.
Content you submit. Hot takes, predictions, board statements, and hot-seat nominations you send us — whether in the app or via the iMessage extension — so the show can use them.
Purchases. If you buy a season pass, Apple or Google Play processes the payment. We never see or store your card details — we only learn that a purchase succeeded, and for which league and season.
Vehicle linking. If you connect a car (CarPlay, Android Auto, or an Android Automotive head unit), we store a record linking your account to that vehicle so it can play your leagues' episodes.
Push notification tokens. If you allow notifications, we store a device token so we can tell you when a new episode is ready.
Basic usage analytics. We use Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used — things like which screens are opened, not the content of your leagues or hot takes.
How we use this information
Solely to run Hot Take Huddle: generating your league's recap episodes, letting members join with a passcode, processing purchases, sending notifications, and providing support. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the services that make Hot Take Huddle work:
- Google Firebase / Google Cloud — hosts our app, database, and file storage.
- Apple, Google Play, and Stripe — process payments for season passes.
- Anthropic and ElevenLabs — generate the script and voice narration for your episodes from your league's data.
- ESPN, Sleeper, and (once available) Yahoo — the fantasy platforms your league data comes from. Connecting a league through Hot Take Huddle doesn't change your relationship or agreements with them.
We don't sell or rent your information to anyone else.
Deleting your data
You can permanently delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account. This removes your account and the league data associated with it from our systems. Content already included in a published episode's audio isn't retroactively removed from copies you or others may have already downloaded or shared.
Children's privacy
Hot Take Huddle isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes to this policy
If our practices change, we'll update this page and change the date at the top.
